The worlds population is climbing closely to 7 billion people today, and the numbers rise every year. The population in Windsor is now upto 210,000, and atleast 49.3 percent of those are teenagers.
According to Health Research, around 80 teens under the age of 16 get pregnant every week in Canada. Although that number may be alarming, its nowhere near Britains 160 under 16s each week.
Teen pregnancy causes a lot of awareness, main issue being Sexually transmitted diseases. Which are passed through un-protected sex. Although teen sex rates are on the rise in Windsor-Essex, protected sex or not, the pregnancy rate has dropped. However disease reports have increased. It will be interesting to see the change next year.
