Good Job City!!! Not

Reading today i found courtesy of 'The Windsor Star' Macleans Magazine voted and Surveyed Windsor to be one of the WORST run cities in Canada. Not that this is any suprise to residents of the Rose City, as for over 12 weeks garbage has been laying over the streets and the long term city strike probably played a big part in this. However, Does Windsor deserve to be ranked in 26th place, from 31 Cities in the entire Country. Give us your thoughts through email or join the discussion on the Facebook group.

Launch Date Announced!

The TeenZ Express magazine has announced a launch date of August 1st. From this day onwards, news, Events, Entertainment, etc...will be updated every mon-fri here at the site. Untill then ongoing work and progress brainstorms are going ahead on preparations for that day. The aim of the magazine is the be a successful, well know, New, innovative idea to bring into the Windsor-Essex coomunity. And those interested in media are able to contact the Magazine via email or phone to get any questions and queries on how YOU could be apart of the magazines launch, and in the future.

We look forward to hearing from you, and we cant wait to get started :)

Welcome Teens to Windsors new, and hottest magazine. TeenZ Express is here to basically translate the boring CNN, and Windsor Star news aimed at Adults, and let the kids understand it a little more. We are a brand new magazine launching on August 1st 2009. We will ensure to bring you the latest local and international news, Entertainment around the area, A way to share birthday notices for readers, Weather reports, Local events news, A writers blog, and all the latest fashion tips. And the best thing is, the writers here are not Adults, trying to aim at teens, its Teens for Teens. Every Monday to Friday the magazine site will be updated with the latest news from Windsor-Essex. (Business Review) Chatty Collection 08/21/09

For 14 years, high class, quality female fashion has been introduced to Windsor. Elaine Chatwood was born and raised in Blackpool, England, and later moved over to Canada. As a youngster, she was inspired to get into fashion, after going out on shopping trips with family and friends. In the first 3 years that Chatty Collection was open, it was located on Wyandotte & Devonshire, untill it moved to its current location on Ottawa Street. One of the key places for shopping in the City. Inside the store, you are greeted by high end fashion, which ranges to a 25-50yrs age group. However, Elaine did say that alot of older women are getting into fashion, seeing how the Fashion statements and industry is changing. Older want to be Younger. Elaine actually designs between 60-70% of the items for sale in the store. The rest are purchased from a clothing line, mostly all based in Canada. When asking what the busiest time of year for sales was, Elaine stated it was Spring/Fall. Due to the changes of clothes coming into the store. The current economic hard times for Windsor, has put a damper on the business and overall sales. However, that is most likely to pick up very soon. There is only one Chatty Collection store and it dedicates its services to the community of Windsor, Ontario. So please go and take a look, you will be amazed.

(Business Review) Timeless Treasures 07/31/09

Quality furniture and home decor, nested among chic, modern and surprising stores in the Walkerville area of Wyandotte st. Owner Laurean Stobbs started the business 9 years ago in November this year. Back in the early days, you would have found the store located on Ottawa St.
Upon entering the store, you are welcomed by calming music, and a bright atmosphere on the main floor. The room is full of everything you would want and need to put in your home. From modern, stylish dining sets, to an old antique record player. Plus all the small interesting items found on display.
A great greeting and friendly feature in the store, are the free refreshments always put out for customers. Today was chocolate brownies! The way the business works is simple. A customer will bring in an item they wish to sell, which Laurean will put on display, with a pricetag. When the item is sold, the profit is split 50/50. Which is easy to figure out the seller and Laurean both get half of the sale.
Whilst walking around the store, there are stairs which lead down into the basement of the building. This is an added bonus feature to the store, which had yet more great items for sale. A few grabbed the attention of us when exploring the store.
Overall the business is doing great, even if the economy has been badly affecting Windsor. And we encourage locals to go and check out the place. The store is located next to Jones & Co at 1747 Wyandotte St. E (519.977.1042). Pictures can be veiwed by the linked picture displayed below.

Since a young age i always was a news freak, CNN always on the TV....i was constantly looking at the news. Also, ive always been into entertaining, anything with media is what interests me. Thats why TeenZ Express is a creation where i can do what i want to do, bring my own thoughts and opinions, and not just have the boring old formal news that we hear day in day out.
