Something exciting starting Sunday

Danny is travelling to UK tonight, and tomorrow, starts a whole load of new projects.

On Monday, preparations will be made for YouTube nightly broadcasts of the days news, from Back in Windsor, In UK and International. All In one!

Also, pictures and videos will be taken of life in the UK, as TeenZ spread their wings on another land. All for you to see back here in Canada and wherever else in the world you are.

No stories will be published today. On Sunday, service will resume as always, just in another place.

US say security is high level today

8 years on from one of the most memorable dates in modern times, and US security is extra high today.

The US Homeland Security state that the level of security is high risk for all Domestic and International flights in and out of the country.

On the otherside of the Atlantic, TeenZ spoke to Heathrow Airport and they say they have had 'no reported problems' so far today.

Jackson tribute concert cancelled

A planned Michael Jackson tribute concert planned for this september, has bee cancelled by its organizers.

One of the organizers was brother Jermaine Jackson, he simply says it is planned for such a short period of time, and could not get all the acts he wanted to perform.

The concert however is not cancelled for good, the event is said to take place in London instead, in Summer 2010.

(Local) UofW has a gas leak

A frustrating first week back at school for some schools in Windsor.

On Wednesday, Walkerville High was evacuated due to a chemical leak in the building. School returned back to normal on Thursday. However today, University of Windsor was put to a halt for a short period of time, after a gas leak. The situation wasn't severe and was solved within a few hours. Classes were back to normal by this afternoon.

Ellen Show gets a lawsuit

After being named yesterday as the replacement judge for Paula Abdul on the upcoming season of American Idol, Ellen DeGeneres faced more media coverage today, after reports released that 4 major record labels filed a lawsuit to her popular daytime talk show.

Warner Bros Group, Sony Music, Universal Music Group and EMI Group have all filed a lawsuit towards to show, regarding songs being played without permission. According to reports, over 1,000 songs have been played without the nod of head from the 4 major labels.

The show is a production of Time Warner Inc, and have commented that they are willing to resolve the lawsuit, and the show will remain as normal.

Today is the first day of the annual Toronto Film Festival. It gets awareness this year, after the economic downfall this past year, its said to be not as 'glitzy' as previous years.

China to receive first Swine Flu vaccines

News comes out that China is set to receive the first of the 'Mass' Swine Flu vaccinations.

Rumours have been around, with little fact known, that the vaccines will hit Canada in October this year. Nothing confirmed on that though.

SPECIAL REPORT: California Arson attack

Its been the main headline in news for the last 2 weeks. WorldWide broadcasting groups have been reporting all the up dates on one of the biggest arson attacks in history.

California authorities began tackling a forest fire around 2 weeks ago, little did they or anybody else know it would lead to be an arson attack. Local residents who lived near where to blaze was moving, were evacuated. On Tuesday, officials and the Los Angeles Times reported that the blaze was 60% contained, and had turned 160,000acres of woodland into ash.

It is reported to be the biggest forest fire in California history. And authorities investigating the attack, have called it an act of 'Terrorism' to the community. And has killed 2 firefighters in the process.

How can an attack like this be prevented in the future? Not just in California, but the rest of the world. How much trust towards community members has been lost because of an individual(s) stupid act?

A $150,000 reward is being issued to anybody who can find or provide lead information into catching the attacker.

BREAKING: Hijacked plane forced to Land

A Flight from Cancun, Mexico was forced to make an emergency landing on Wedensday afternoon, after the aircraft became Hijacked.

Security forces at Mexico City Airport managed to detain upto 7 people. All passengers and crew were released unharmed.

California Wildfires said to be 60% contained

Reports today have revealsed that the California wildfires are said to be 60% contained. Up from the 49% at the weekend past.

Other information supplied to the Los Angeles Time, is that the reward for catching the 'Fire Starter' has increased by $50,000 to $150,000

(Update) Bomb was false alarm.

A suspected bomb found at RAF Lyneham, England, is said this afternoon to by a false alarm, according to the Ministry of Defence

Urgent: Bomb found at Air Force base in UK

A suspected bomb has been discovered at a Royal Air Force base in Southern England, the Ministry of Defence said.

Apparently the device was discovered by sniffer dogs in a vehicle at RAF Lyneham, In Wiltshire county.

Labour Day celebrations at the weekend

Canadians and Americans celebrated the annual 'Labour Day' over the past weekend.

In Windsor-Essex, fireworks were launching on the riverfront Friday night, along with small celebrations held at homes in the area.

The Monday parade in Windsor, had CUPE workers walking from one end of the city to the other, ending at a famous banquet hall. Speeches were read, and 'a lot' of negative comments towards to un-invited mayor Eddie Francis.

Students enter the Classroom once again

Across Windsor-Essex and many parts of Canada today, students walk back into school, after Summer 09 comes to an end.

Preparations for the return have been going on over the last week, with parents buying 'Back to School' equipment and accessories for their kids.
